Job Summary

MOR PPM Inc. is seeking equipment operators in Columbia, SC. The Operator is responsible for proper care and operation of equipment such as Bull Dozer, Front End Loader, and Backhoes and for maintaining a safe working environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Operates heavy equipment such as front end loaders, back hoes, bulldozers and forklift.Services and performs general and preventative maintenance on equipmentTransports and delivers materialsCoordinates and plan’s routes in an industrial setting with focus on working safelyAbility to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety proceduresKnowledge of basic vehicle inspection and maintenance including tire pressure, checking oil and water levels.  Qualifications 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment operating in an industrial setting is requiredPossession of a current valid driver’s licenseKnowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards Physical Demands Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSignMay be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 poundsMust posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified aboveMust be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areasMust have full range of motion consistent with ageMust be able to climb and maintain balance laddersMust be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noisesVisual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfacesSafety/Steel toe shoes are required.
