You Are:
UST is seeking an entry-level Power & Thermal Validation Engineer to support platform validation activities focused on power, thermal, and performance behavior. This role provides hands-on exposure to system testing, data analysis, and debugging under the guidance of senior engineers, while building foundational skills in semiconductor and platform validation.
The opportunity:
· As a Power & Thermal Validation Engineer, you will be responsible, but not limited to:
• Assist senior engineers in executing power and thermal validation test plans
• Support basic testing of power states, thermal behavior, and workload execution
• Collect logs, telemetry data, and test results for analysis
• Help reproduce reported power or thermal issues following defined procedures
• Perform basic scripting or test execution in Linux environments
• Assist with validation of stress workloads under supervision
• Document test steps, observations, and results clearly
• Support regression testing and validation of fixes
• Participate in debug reviews and learn root-cause analysis techniques
• Provide regular status updates to the team Required Skills
• Basic programming knowledge in Python or C/C++
• Familiarity with Linux command-line usage
• Basic understanding of computer architecture and system components
• Interest in power, thermal, and performance testing
• Exposure to software testing or validation concepts
• Willingness to learn debugging and telemetry analysis techniques
• Basic understanding of version control tools (Git or similar)
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
· The candidate must have a Bachelor´s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field
· 1+ years of experience in the following areas:
o Python or C/C++
o Linux Scripting
o Power, thermal, and performance testing
