Job Responsibilities and Duties:\n

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: working independently; keeping accurate, daily inventories (both handwritten and through computer entry) of all explosive products used in underground main and auxiliary magazines; analysing and investigating any discrepancies in inventories (in person, by phone, and in written form); rectifying discrepancies; reporting discrepancies to various levels of management; meeting compliance requirements for Stillwater Mining Company standards as well as applicable government regulations; mine data entry and tracking; assisting Mine Operators personnel as required.\n

Qualifications and Skills:\n

Required:\n\nProven ability to comprehend and apply basic math skills.\nExceptional planning, organizing, analytical skills, detail oriented, and versatile.\nStrong level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel).\nProven interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.\nAbility to handle multiple tasks independently and with minimal supervision.\nDemonstrated professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.\nAbility to work in underground environment.\nCan safely operate transportation equipment on rough roads and for extended periods.\nAbility to walk for long distances (up to 2 miles) on rough surface while wearing required PPE.\nAbility to climb steep inclines 20%+ and\/or ladders while wearing required PPE.\nMust be able to attain and maintain ATF clearance to handle explosives.\nFlexibility to work rotating shift schedule as required.\n\n

Education & Experience\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent and 2 or more years' experience in an underground mine; OR five or more years' experience in an underground mine, preferred.\n\n
