Join a dynamic manufacturer specializing in custom-engineered electrical gear for energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors as a helper in the powder coater shop. You will be an integral part of the team, working in the paint area alongside the machine shop, inside and outside of a paint booth. Your role involves painting, powder coating, and spraying fabricated sheet metal for electrical cabinets, mixing paint according to specified ratios, and testing for appropriate thickness and adherence.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in painting, blasting, and prepping parts for the powder coating process.Perform industrial painting and spray painting tasks using spray guns.Mix paint and powder coat materials according to specifications.Conduct testing to ensure paint thickness and adherence meet standards.Perform general labor duties as required, including moving materials and odd jobs.Contribute to paint prep, sanding, blasting, and coating tasks.Engage in assembly and spray painting tasks as needed.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of industrial experience.Experience in manufacturing settings.Ability to perform paint prep and industrial painting tasks.Proficiency in spray gun operation and paint booth procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsExtensive industrial paint experience, including blasting and sandblasting.Experience with mixing different epoxies and powder coating.Ability to calculate paint millage.Why Work Here?We are committed to taking care of our employees, providing regular catering and hosting community events on weekends. Work EnvironmentWork in a medium-sized, clean, and organized shop that is non-climate controlled with open bay doors and plenty of fans. The production shop is fast-paced and busy, with around 15 people per shift, including machine operators, fabricators, QC staff, material handlers, and managers. Day shift hours are Monday to Friday from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, with a common workweek of 50-60 hours. Safety gear includes steel-toed shoes, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
