Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Powder Coater Painter who is also capable of performing sandblasting tasks. This entry-level position does not require prior painting experience but demands a strong work ethic and the ability to perform repetitive tasks in a shop setting. You will be preparing products by sandblasting or shot blasting to remove paint or rust from metal surfaces, followed by powder coating. Our products, Extendobeds, are custom-made for police and fire vehicles, featuring drawers to hold supplies and tools.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare metal surfaces by sandblasting to remove abrasive materials.Perform powder coating on prepared metal surfaces.Assemble custom Extendobeds by drilling, sawing (metal and wood), riveting, and using a variety of hand tools.Install decks, drawers, slides, and other accessories into the final product.Use hand tools such as panel saws, table saws, staple guns, and drills.Lift items weighing up to 75 lbs.Essential SkillsExperience with hand tools and power tools.Ability to measure accurately with a tape measure.Basic math skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsBackground in general labor or shop settings.Experience with painting, powder coating, and sandblasting.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
Work in a well-organized welding and fabrication shop, complete with individual workstations, welding bays, and large paint booths for product finishing. Employees must wear composite-toed shoes and safety glasses. The position operates on a 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 3:30 pm, typically working 45-50 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
