Posting Description
POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Chemistry, to join the laboratory of Prof. Robert J. Gilliard, Jr. at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); work on projects related to small-molecule activation; conduct synthetic methods that involve stoichiometric, catalytic, photocatalytic, or electrochemical bond activation strategies and advanced chemical synthesis and various characterization methods, including but not limited to use of an inert atmosphere glovebox and Schlenk line, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, electron paramagnetic resonance spectroscopy, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and X-ray crystallography; ensure appropriate research record-keeping and data management; maintain laboratory instrumentation; and serve as a mentor and resource for junior lab members.
