Postdoc Associate
Classification Minimum Requirements:Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, required by the appointment start date.
Job Description: Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Carry out experimental research in additive manufacturing, including designing experiments, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data. Serving as laboratory point of contact for daily lab activities and maintenance, to include, Revision or development of standard operating procedures for lab equipment; Training, overseeing, and coordinating of students in the lab; Ordering and receiving of supplies; Ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Develop peer-reviewed publications and conference proceedings. Assist in writing project reports, and grant proposals. Expected Salary:Minimum is $58,656
Required Qualifications:Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, required by the appointment start date. In addition, demonstrated ability to perform independent research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
Preferred: Expertise (hands-on experience) in Direct Energy Deposition and CNC machining Awareness, with rapid learning capabilities, of other additive manufacturing techniques such as extrusion-based polymer 3DP Experience with in-situ processes characterization to include nondestructive testing evaluation (NDE) techniques, computer vision, imaging, and sensing Special Instructions to Applicants:Interested persons should submit a (1) cover letter; (2) a detailed curriculum vitae; (3) a one-page statement of research interests highlighting research and long-term goals; (4) the names and email addresses of three professional references; and (5) Up to three published papers.
