Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, required by the appointment start date.
Job Description:
+ Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
+ Carry out experimental research in additive manufacturing, including designing experiments, collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data.
+ Serving as laboratory point of contact for daily lab activities and maintenance, to include,
+ Revision or development of standard operating procedures for lab equipment;
+ Training, overseeing, and coordinating of students in the lab;
+ Ordering and receiving of supplies;
+ Ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
+ Develop peer-reviewed publications and conference proceedings.
+ Assist in writing project reports, and grant proposals.
Expected Salary:
Minimum is $58,656
Required Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, required by the appointment start date. In addition, demonstrated ability to perform independent research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
Preferred:
+ Expertise (hands-on experience) in Direct Energy Deposition and CNC machining
+ Awareness, with rapid learning capabilities, of other additive manufacturing techniques such as extrusion-based polymer 3DP
+ Experience with in-situ processes characterization to include nondestructive testing evaluation (NDE) techniques, computer vision, imaging, and sensing
