Portfolio Associate, Investment Grade Private Debt Placements
**What You'll Do** We are looking for a Portfolio Associate to join our team! This role is responsible for providing comprehensive operational support to the Corporate Private Placements team, including trading support, portfolio credit reporting tracking, client portfolio servicing, RFP responses, data aggregation and presentation, client reporting, portfolio valuation, ensuring timely execution of internal workflows and support and participation in all new client asset aggregation efforts. **Key responsibilities:** + Monitor portfolio holdings for financial reporting and covenant compliance tracking compliance + Ensure timely execution of internal trading workflows and coordinate with operational/accounting teams \ + Support coordination with client requests and ad hoc portfolio monitoring and reporting + Support inquiries from marketing, RFP, product, distribution, clients, and client reporting + Develop knowledge of financial markets, current events, laws and regulations, tax and accounting trends and implications and business operating trends + System implementations in coordination with current platform systems + Track and present data history of strategy for client reporting and new business Operating at the intersection of financial services and technology, Principal builds financial tools that help our customers live better lives. Check us out at www.principalam.com! **Who You Are** + Bachelor's degree in a technical field (ie, finance, accounting, economics, statistics, engineering, data science, business analytics) + 1+ years' work experience + Experience in financial markets with exposure to fixed income, investment strategies, or portfolio management + Strong proficiency in Excel **Skills That Will Help You Stand Out** + Familiarity with credit analysis, debt instruments, and related financial products + Hands-on experience with Bloomberg, Charles River, or other debt trading platforms + Strong collaboration skills with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across teams + Exceptional attention to detail, with proven ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment + Undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or above **Salary Range Information** Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. **Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)** $89300 - $115000 / year **Salary Details** **Compensation** The base salary range for this role in Des Moines is **$89,300 – $115,000** . Final compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities. In addition to base pay, this role participates in an **annual profit share bonus plan** . **Time Off Program** Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.
