Check out this video for more information on our great company! #PGH-BMC Location Description Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is nestled high atop the majestic San Bernardino Mountains at an elevation of 5,174’. This Resort is surrounded by an ocean of Ponderosa Pines and gives guests exclusive access to Lake Arrowhead, a reservoir with a surface area of 780 acres. Lake Arrowhead is the perfect location for outdoor adventure enthusiasts and offers a variety of summertime and wintertime activities including hiking, mountain biking, fishing, kayaking, water skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, ziplining, and more. The resort includes a Bar & Restaurant, Spa & Wellness Center, Outdoor Pool & Lake Beach as well as over 23,000 sq. ft of meeting and events space. Overview Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa is looking to fill a Seasonal Part-Time Pool Bartender position for our summer season, May through September. BASIC FUNCTION: The Pool Bartender is responsible for taking, preparing, and serving food and drink orders for the guests at the outdoor poolside bar. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Mix drinks for guests according to standard recipes. Upsell beverages. 2. Ensure consistency in the presentation and recipes of all cocktails. 3. Be familiar with and enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws. 4. Handle all checks and cash according to procedures. 5. Offer suggestive selling techniques during service interactions. 6. Keep the bar stocked. 7. Follow side-work tasks each day and as time allows. 8. Uphold cleanliness standards across all workspaces, including but not limited to pool bar area, refrigerators, countertops, bar surfaces, stools, floors, sinks, and storage areas. 9. Ensure standards of dress are met each day. 10. Prepare garnishes and ensure sufficient stock levels before the onset of business. 11. Thoroughly clean and polish all glassware to maintain impeccable presentation. 12. Support with cleaning up around the pool chairs and tables as needed. 13. Stay informed about resort amenities, current events, holiday festivities, and menu offerings. 14. Setting up and breaking down the pool bar area. Ice well, draft beer cooler, reach in refrigerator, liquor, wine and beer selections. 15. Ensure that all items are properly stored in their designated areas. For example, liquor must be returned to the liquor cage and kept always locked. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager on duty. 2. Serve cocktails at tables when time permits (Bar top main responsibility). 3. Support other departments within Food and Beverage as necessary. 4. Arrange and dismantle the bar area as required. 5. Execute tasks directed by supervisors, managers, or directors across various resort areas within the Food and Beverage Department, including but not limited to seating guests, delivering room service, and assisting with banquet functions. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of two years of experience in mixology, cocktails, wines, and spirits with the ability to craft high-quality beverages. One year restaurant experience. A minimum of 21 years of age to meet BAC requirements. RBS certificate and San Bernardino County Food Handler’s Certificate required or must be obtained. Excellent customer service skills. Pleasant, outgoing, engaging personality. TIPS certified. High volume service experience. Excellent communication skills. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must be able to adhere to a flexible working schedule. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $16.50/Hr. - $16.50/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
