Job Title: Polisher/Finisher
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced professional to transform regular mill finish metal into a stunning mirror finish. This role involves partnering with welders to complete projects using hand and power tools, specifically polishing pharmaceutical equipment and other shop projects with stainless steel.

ResponsibilitiesPolish and finish metal surfaces to achieve a mirror finish.Collaborate with welders to ensure project completion.Utilize hand and power tools, including polishers, grinders, dynafiles, and buffers.Work on pharmaceutical equipment and other stainless steel projects in the shop.Essential SkillsMinimum of 5 years experience in polishing or finishing, preferably in stainless steel or furniture industry.Expertise in achieving mirror finishes.Proficient use of hand and power tools such as polishers, grinders, buffers, and dynafiles.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in stainless steel or furniture industry preferred.Strong understanding of different finishes.Work Environment

The role is based in a fast-paced weld shop with 40-50 welders working on numerous large projects. The team includes four polishers. The day shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 6am to 3pm, and Friday, 6am to 12pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Scarborough, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
