Job Description

Join a dynamic team as a Polisher I at a leading sink faucet manufacturer in Santa Ana. This role involves using large polishers, buffing machines, and sandblasting equipment to grind, sand, and polish metal components, ensuring smooth surfaces and high-quality finishes. This is an opportunity to work on the 1st shift with potential for overtime.

ResponsibilitiesGrind, sand, and polish designated components using various machines.Prepare component surfaces for further finishing.Inspect items for defects and mark cracks and splits for repair.Adjust, start, or stop equipment during the grinding/polishing process.Trim and scrape components using chisels and scrapers to smooth products.Clean and replace components and tooling in the polishing area.Inspect components before and after processing to ensure quality standards are met.Report any non-conformant material to Quality or Lead.Remove completed components and place them in appropriate containers.Change wheels or sanding equipment when needed.Maintain specifications and adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.Perform housekeeping activities in the designated work area.Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

Essential Skills

Experience in sanding, deburring, and polishing.Ability to work with power tools.Experience with grinding or polishing is a plus.Extreme regard for safety.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

1 year of experience in a production environment required.Experience with high-end metal polishing is preferred.Ability to set up and operate polishing equipment.Mechanical aptitude is desired.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work in a team and as an individual contributor.Ability to use a computer to review drawings or blueprints.

Work Environment

Work in a production environment where you will stand most of the time. The use of a dust mask is required due to the moderate heat level. Safety equipment for hearing, feet, and eyes is essential. The 1st shift runs from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime available on Saturdays. The 2nd shift includes a $1 shift differential, operating from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm.

The pay range for this position is $37440.00 - $39520.00/yr.
