We are seeking a highly experienced Engineering POD Lead to drive engineering delivery excellence across multiple pods in a fast-paced, enterprise-scale environment. This role blends strong technical leadership, deep GitHub platform expertise, and DevOps transformation experience.

The successful candidate will be accountable for predictable delivery, operational maturity, and high-performing engineering teams, enabled through robust delivery frameworks, automation, governance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery & Engineering Leadership

Own end-to-end delivery for assigned engineering pods, ensuring quality, timelines, and business outcomes are consistently achieved.

Establish and enforce delivery frameworks, agile sprint cadences, and release governance models.

Ensure engineering best practices are adopted consistently across pods.

Planning, Release & Cutover Management

Lead wave-based delivery planning, release sequencing, and cross-team dependency management.

Drive release readiness reviews, cutover planning, and coordinated go-live execution.

Partner with platform, security, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployments.

Risk, Dependency & Escalation Management

Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate delivery, technical, and operational risks.

Track and manage cross-pod dependencies and critical path items.

Serve as the primary escalation point for major blockers, incidents, and cross-functional issues.

Validation & Stakeholder Governance

Oversee validation, testing, and acceptance processes to ensure solutions meet functional, non-functional, performance, and security requirements.

Drive structured sign-off and governance processes with business, architecture, security, and operations stakeholders.

Provide clear status reporting and executive-level updates.

Team Development & Coaching

Mentor and coach engineers, tech leads, and DevOps practitioners to elevate technical capability and delivery maturity.

Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.

Support talent development, performance feedback, and succession planning.

Technical Skills & Expertise

GitHub Platform & Administration

Strong hands-on experience administering GitHub Enterprise.

Proven expertise in repository migrations, organization and team structure design, and enterprise-level governance.

Deep knowledge of repository configurations, branch protection rules, and enterprise policies.

DevOps & Automation

Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, workflow optimization, and GitHub CLI.

Strong background in CI/CD pipeline design, build strategies, and release automation.

Experience driving standardization and automation at scale.

Security & Identity

Working knowledge of SSO integrations and SCIM provisioning.

Experience implementing and managing GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), including:

Code scanning

Secret scanning

Dependency review

Security policy enforcement and compliance reporting

Integrations & Platform Governance

Experience integrating GitHub with:

Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)

Artifact repositories

Project management and work-tracking tools

Strong understanding of platform governance, compliance, and audit requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

GitHub Administration, DevOps, or cloud-native architecture certifications.

Proven experience leading large-scale DevOps transformations, GitOps initiatives, or platform modernization programs.

Prior experience working in complex, enterprise-scale engineering environments.
