The role involves directing the installation of plumbing systems, equipment, and fixtures. The individual will plan, lay out, participate in, and supervise plumbing work on job sites and in the shop. Independence is a key aspect of this role, although some technical supervision is provided on large construction projects.
ResponsibilitiesDirect and supervise plumbing installations and related systems.Plan and layout plumbing work for various projects.Participate in plumbing work both on-site and in the shop.Receive work assignments through Teams Construction software and job requests.Handle emergency calls related to plumbing issues.Ensure compliance with specifications and building codes.Review and inspect work while in progress and upon completion.Essential SkillsExtensive knowledge of plumbing practices, methods, materials, tools, and equipment.Ability to analyze and repair defects in plumbing equipment.Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and laying out work from prints, plans, and sketches.Experience with cast iron plumbing is highly beneficial.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to lay out and mark work effectively.Experience working with water and temporary water lines.Capability to manage and guide helpers on storm or sanitary projects.Why Work Here?
