Crouse’s Engineering team is hiring a Plumber/Steamfitter to maintain, repair and install specialized fixtures, piping and plumbing to supply gas, steam and water across all Crouse Hospital locations . Pay Range: $26.00 - $47.07 per hour based on experience Available Schedule(s): + Full-time, 7:00am-3:30pm with rotation of weekends, holidays & other shifts as needed Plumber/Steamfitter Responsibilities: + Professionally repairs, installs, replaces and maintains a variety of pipe assemblies and plumbing fixtures, in accordance with existing policy and procedure. + Properly completes steam fitting duties including but not limited to; setting and securing heating units, connecting traps, valves and thermostats. + Troubleshoots and resolves clogged drains or frozen pipes ensuring pipe covering is correctly reinstalled, in a timely manner. + Proactively plans installation prior to completing duties by conducting detailed study of blueprints. + Proficiently uses a variety of equipment and tools to cut passage holes in walls and floors, grind and weld as needed. Plumber/Steamfitter Requirements: + High school diploma or equivalent required. + Valid New York State driver’s license required. + Minimum of Five (5) years’ work experience as a Journeyman plumber/steamfitter in a commercial, industrial or healthcare environment. + Current fire safe/stopping materials certification at the time of hire or within ninety (90) days after hire/transfer. Certification must be maintained throughout employment as a Plumber/Steamfitter at Crouse Hospital. + Current NFPA certification as a Medical Gas Installer preferred. + Current pipe and orbital welding certification preferred. + Current backflow prevention device testing certification preferred.
