Job Title: Plumber - Perris

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced plumber with skills in working with copper pipes, PVC, and experience in constructing bathrooms from start to finish, including framing and rough-in plumbing. The ideal candidate will primarily inspect modular trailers and perform various mechanical and carpentry tasks.

Responsibilities

Inspect modular trailers, including chassis, tires, axles, hitches, and wiring.Move from bay to bay inspecting trailers and replacing parts as needed.Change tires, axles, brake pads, springs, adjusters, hangers, and hitch parts.Work on trailers with up to 6 axles, primarily focusing on those with 3 axles.Complete inspection and maintenance of 4-6 or more units per day.Maintain a clean and safe work environment inside the shop and yard.Perform refurbishment, check-in, and modification of all trailers.Clean and wax floors, inspect electrical systems, and perform carpentry repairs.Install company signage and prepare trailers for delivery.Conduct regular inventory checks and orders.Provide courteous customer service.

Essential Skills

Safety training, preferably OSHA 10-hour certification.Ability to work independently with a sense of urgency.Proficient in using hand and power tools.High School Diploma or equivalent.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and welding.Experience with floor buffers and janitorial tasks.Basic computer skills.

Work Environment

Work both inside the shop and outdoors in the yard. The environment varies with weather conditions, and trailers may not have air conditioning. Standard hours are 7 AM to 3:30 PM, with some flexibility required. Dress code includes steel toe boots, work pants, and a t-shirt, with safety glasses and gloves provided by the company.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Perris, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
