**Residential New Construction Plumber**
**Overview**
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Residential New Construction Plumber to join our growing team. This role is responsible for installing complete plumbing systems in new construction homes, including water distribution, drain/waste/vent systems, gas piping, sump pump systems, and underground utilities. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, can work efficiently in a fast‑paced construction environment, and takes pride in high‑quality workmanship.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install complete plumbing systems in new construction homes, including water distribution, drain/waste/vent systems, gas piping, and sump pump systems.
+ Conduct digging for underground utilities and ensure proper installation.
+ Utilize various materials such as PVC and copper for plumbing installations.
+ Work from blueprints and ensure adherence to construction specifications.
+ Perform pressure tests, leak detection, and troubleshoot plumbing systems.
+ Operate hand tools, power tools, and excavation equipment safely on residential job sites.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in residential new construction plumbing.
+ Proficiency in installing PVC, copper, and gas piping.
+ Thorough knowledge of local and state plumbing codes, inspections, and compliance requirements.
+ Ability to work from blueprints with minimal supervision.
+ Strong work ethic with reliable attendance and punctuality.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Valid Plumbing Journeyman License preferred (state or local, as required).
+ Registered Apprentice Plumber with active or expired apprentice card will be considered.
+ Willingness to learn, take direction, and advance technical skills.
+ Experience with underground sewer and water service line installation.

**Work Environment**
Plumbers will be working outdoors, often in unfinished houses without windows or doors, requiring preparation for working in various weather conditions. The role involves building subdivisions with 50+ houses per neighborhood.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of Yorkville, IL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr.
