Job Description

Join our team as a Plumber working on a large retrofit construction project of an institutional building in Squamish, BC. This unique project involves working on the rec center retrofit, focusing on sanitary, drainage, and water piping. A significant portion of the scope will involve mechanical tasks with victualic piping, hydronic heating, and cooling systems. You will also participate in building mechanical rooms and installing equipment for plumbing and hydronics systems.

ResponsibilitiesPerform sanitary, drainage, and water piping tasks.Execute mechanical scope work with 4 - 6\" victaulic piping.Handle hydronic heating and cooling piping installations.Build mechanical rooms and install equipment with plumbing and hydronics systems.Work collaboratively within a team to ensure project success.Essential SkillsJourneyperson or apprentice with relevant experience.Proficient with hand tools including hacksaw, level, tape measure, channel lock, and crescent wrench.Ability to access the site independently.Experience in new commercial construction.Capability to lift 50lbs.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in mechanical room setups.Red Seal certification.Access to a car.AWP certification.First aid certification.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work site is located at Brennan Park Rec Center in Squamish, with free parking available. The project has one year remaining, and you will work alongside up to five other employees initially. Work hours are 7 am - 3:30 pm for five days a week, or you can opt for four 10-hour days. Non-local candidates receive paid hotel accommodation, a daily LOA, or paid travel time with gas reimbursement. The next project is scheduled to start in Richmond, Langley, or the Lower Mainland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $48.00/hr.
