PLC Technician
**Job Title: PLC Technician** Job Description We are seeking a skilled PLC Technician responsible for troubleshooting, editing, and programming PLC codes in a manufacturing plant setting. This role involves performing electrical and mechanical repairs on equipment to ensure optimal operation and quality production. The PLC Technician will install, monitor, and repair PLC devices and provide support for HMIs, instrumentation, and other electronics with limited supervision. Responsibilities + Perform PLC troubleshooting and program edits. + Install, monitor, and repair PLC devices and related hardware and software. + Support PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, and other electronics. + Ensure equipment operates at desired capacity and produces quality products. + Diagnose and repair problems causing equipment downtime. + Perform both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks. + Conduct regular safety inspections. + Maintain accurate parts inventory levels through CMMS. + Assist with equipment setup and installation as needed. + Provide technical support and training to team members. + Maintain communication with other departments and management. + Identify opportunities for process improvement. + Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Essential Skills + Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and programming. + Ability to perform electrical repairs and follow PM schedules. + Experience with Allen Bradley PLC and RSLogix5000. + High School Diploma or GED. + Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with power distribution systems, sensors, transmitters, and automatic valves. + Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and adjust control systems including PLCs and frequency drives. + Capability to monitor PLC devices and ensure functionality. + Experience in conducting regular safety inspections. Work Environment Work in a dynamic food and beverage plant, featuring various climate conditions, tight spaces, and exposure to heights and loud noises. Follow GMPs within a rotating shift schedule of 12-hour shifts. Expect to work every other weekend, balancing work-life with half-year work schedules. Initial training will occur on the day shift before moving to a designated 12-hour shift. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of MECHANICSBURG, PA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $67600.00 - $83200.00/yr. Vacation/Benefits info Given 2 weeks PTO right away, a month after hire. from 1-6 years of service you will earn a total of 144 hours. Cannot carry hours over into the next year, but can at end of year cash in up to 40 hours of PTO. 32 hours of sick leave for the year - will be prorated based on when their start date is if they get the full amount right away. Retirement with 401k match up to 3% Health insurance is eligible on 1st of the month following your date of hire.
