A PLC Programmer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software that controls machinery and automated systems in industrial environments. These professionals play a key role in streamlining manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring system reliability.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop PLC programs using languages like Ladder Logic, Structured Text, or Function Block DiagramsCollaborate with engineers and clients to understand automation requirementsCreate and interpret electrical schematics and control system diagramsInstall, test, and troubleshoot PLC software on industrial equipmentMaintain and update existing PLC systems to improve performanceDocument programming processes and system configurationsIntegrate PLCs with HMI (Human Machine Interface) and SCADA systemsProvide technical support and training to operators and maintenance staffEssential SkillsProficiency in PLC programming platforms (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi)Strong understanding of industrial automation and control systemsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and schematicsFamiliarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP)Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and teamwork abilities.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is non-climate controlled, with some areas experiencing high temperatures due to ovens. Initial shifts are Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5 pm for the first month, focusing on preventive maintenance. Thereafter, shifts will transition to the PM team, working on non-running production lines from Thursday to Sunday or Friday to Monday, with 10-hour days. Additional shifts during the week are available.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.60 - $33.00/hr.
