Job Title: PLC Engineer
Job Description
The PLC Engineer is responsible for designing and troubleshooting control systems for industrial equipment and automation projects. This role also involves ensuring compliance with facility electrical systems and leading electrical trades personnel in resolving electrical issues with extrusion manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
Design and troubleshoot control systems for industrial equipment and automation projects.Ensure compliance of facility electrical systems.Lead electrical trades personnel in resolving electrical issues with extrusion manufacturing equipment.Perform electrical troubleshooting, including identifying and resolving issues using a multimeter.Program PLCs using platforms such as Studio5000 and RSLOGIX.Interpret and work with blueprints and schematics to solve electrical problems.Essential Skills
Proficiency in Allen-Bradley PLCs.Experience in electrical engineering and troubleshooting.Ability to work with schematics and blueprints (3+ years of experience).Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with heavy machinery.BS in Engineering discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Siemens experience is a plus.Experience working in a heavy machinery facility is highly preferred.Problem-solving ability.Work Environment
The role involves working 60% on the manufacturing floor and 40% at a desk. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with the possibility of being on call during weekends. The industrial environment requires wearing boots, pants, hard hats, and safety glasses. The work can be physically demanding, particularly in the summer heat.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
Wage paid bi-weekly.• Eligible for medical, dental, vision and life insurance on the first of the month following thirtydays of active employment. (80% of Health insurance is paid by the employer, all other electedinsurances will be paid by the employee). We have a variety of supplemental insurancesavailable.• Eligible for the company 401(k) plan after ninety days of active employment. Company matchesup to 5% and there is no vesting period.• Basic Life Insurance paid by the company.• Seven paid holidays a year provided per our policy.• Eligible for PTO accrual. 1st year can earn up to 80 hours, 2nd year can earn up to 120 hours and3rd year going forward can earn up to 160 hours per year.
