Platform Engineer IIOverviewArcus Engineering team is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to drive our customer experience strategy forward by consistently innovating and problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about the customer experience journey, highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an entrepreneurial mindset who supports the reliability, scalability, and performance of production systems. This candidate will work closely with engineering and operations teams to automate processes, monitor infrastructure, and respond to incidents. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in systems and a passion for continuous improvement.
Role
•Develops, builds, maintains and tests assigned technologies, including associated software and hardware
• Resolves problems of moderate scopes as they arise, and provides high-level technical assistance to development programmers and customers to ensure proper performances
• Assists in implementation, supports configuration, and ensures standards, process, and procedures are in place
• Supports compliance posture which includes escalating potential concerns, and implementing both risk mitigation plans and control functions
• Drafts and reviews status reports and performs implementation and troubleshooting activities, updating project plans as required
• Supports business and process improvement initiatives, proactively sharing ideas that may impact team performance
• May manage large project/initiatives as an experienced individual contributor with specialized knowledge within assigned discipline
• Provides support to ensure optimal infrastructure or process performance
• Identifies automation that can be used by initial responders for easily resolvable issues

•\tAssist in monitoring, alerting, and incident response for production systems.
•\tSupport automation of deployment, scaling, and recovery processes.
•\tCollaborate with developers to improve system reliability and performance.
•\tDocument runbooks, procedures, and post-incident analyses.
•\tParticipate in on-call rotations with guidance from senior engineers.
•\tUnderstands how containers are deployed and managed. Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
•\tShows interest in automating infrastructure provisioning.Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
•\tUnderstands basic principles of access control, encryption, and audit logging. Awareness of security and compliance best practices
•\tCan clearly explain technical concepts and contribute to team knowledge bases.
•\tAble to navigate, troubleshoot, and manage basic server operations. Intermediate proficiency in Linux systems administration
•\tCapable of writing automation scripts for routine tasks and log parsing. Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
•\tFamiliar with core services like EC2, S3, IAM, and monitoring tools. Understanding of AWS cloud platform
•\tUnderstands how code moves from development to production. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git, GitHub Actions)
•\tCan interpret metrics and logs to identify system health issues. Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Dynatrace, Grafana, CloudWatch)
•\tDemonstrates logical thinking and persistence when resolving issues.
