**Job Title: Plater** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Plater to join our team. The role involves mastering the basics of plating, including masking, taping, caulking, and handling chemical exposure. You will be responsible for buffing, polishing, and finishing materials. You will assist in preparing the product by racking fixtures and using a manual hoist to move them through a series of anodizing baths. Our facility is NADCAP certified for aluminum anodizing, ensuring we meet high standards for corrosion protection and electrical conductivity. **Responsibilities** + Immerse workpieces in coating solutions or liquid metal or plastic for specified times. + Adjust dials to regulate the flow of current and voltage to control plating processes. + Inspect coated or plated areas for defects, such as air bubbles or uneven coverage. + Set up, operate, or tend plating or coating machines to coat metal or plastic products. + Observe gauges to ensure machines operate properly, making adjustments or stopping machines when necessary. + Handle and move objects using hands and arms for installing, positioning, and manipulating materials. + Operate a forklift to move materials as needed. **Essential Skills** + Experience in plating, production, and electroplating. + General labor and production skills. + Proficiency in machine operation and cleaning. + Knowledge of painting, detail, and inspection processes. + Familiarity with chrome, mechanical aptitude, aerospace, water treatment, and quality check. + PH testing skills. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or equivalent. + One to two years of related work experience. + Crane/Forklift Certification (in-house training provided). + Valid driver’s license. + Proper use of hand tools, power tools, cranes, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools. + Proper use of safety equipment including safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and ear plugs. **Why Work Here?** Join a global leader in metals production, where you will work with cutting-edge technology and have access to comprehensive life-cycle services.
