**Job Title: Plater**
Job Description
As a Plater, you will be involved in plating basics, masking off parts, taping parts, caulking parts, and exposure to chemicals. You will buff, polish, and finish materials, assisting with preparing products by racking fixtures and using a manual hoist to move fixtures between anodizing baths.
Responsibilities
+ Immerse workpieces in coating solutions or molten metal for specified times.
+ Adjust dials to regulate the flow of current and voltage to control plating processes.
+ Inspect coated or plated areas for defects such as air bubbles or uneven coverage.
+ Set up, operate, or tend plating or coating machines to coat metal or plastic products.
+ Observe gauges to ensure that machines are operating properly, making adjustments or stopping machines when problems occur.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with plating, production, and electroplating.
+ General labor and machine operation skills.
+ Mechanical aptitude and detail orientation.
+ Ability to perform quality checks and pH testing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High School or Equivalent.
+ One to two years of related work experience.
+ In-house training provided to obtain Crane/Forklift Certification.
+ Valid driver's license.
+ Proper use of hand tools, power tools, cranes, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.

Work Environment
You will work in a dynamic setting equipped with advanced technology to support metals production. Expect a hands-on role where standing for extended periods is common, and moving materials using forklifts and manual labor is required. Safety is a priority, with necessary protective equipment provided, including safety boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Benton Harbor, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr.
