Plate Maker
Location: NE Portland, OR
Paying $26 - $29 / HR
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage hot folders for incoming plate filesPerform routine maintenance on plate-making equipmentKeep proofs and job bags neatly organized and accessibleMonitor inventory levels and place supply orders as neededAlign with and support plant production schedulesMaintain clear communication with scheduling and operations teamsPromptly report any unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnelEnsure cleanliness and organization of the work areaServe as the Lead for the plate-making teamStay up to date on new product releases and assist with implementation and trainingOutput exact repeat jobs from the serverConduct quality checks on plates to ensure standards are metQualifications:
To perform in this role successfully, an individual should demonstrate and following skills: Analytical and problem solving skillsStrong organizational skillsUnderstanding of the printing/converting processMechanical Aptitude Competent computer skills with preferable SAP and prepress softwareAbility to work as part of a team, ability to communicate with different levels inside of an organizationLeadership skills as this is a lead position, ability to think outside of the box when necessaryAssesses own strengths and weaknesses and pursues training and development opportunities, strives to build job skill knowledge and works toward becoming a SMEAble to effectively listenWillingness to make decisions in timely manner and include leadership when neededDemonstrates quality mindset and strives for accuracyEnvironment / Shift:
