**Plate Maker** **Location: NE Portland, OR** **Paying $26 - $29 / HR** **Responsibilities:** + Oversee and manage hot folders for incoming plate files + Perform routine maintenance on plate-making equipment + Keep proofs and job bags neatly organized and accessible + Monitor inventory levels and place supply orders as needed + Align with and support plant production schedules + Maintain clear communication with scheduling and operations teams + Promptly report any unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel + Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area + Serve as the Lead for the plate-making team + Stay up to date on new product releases and assist with implementation and training + Output exact repeat jobs from the server + Conduct quality checks on plates to ensure standards are met **Qualifications:** + To perform in this role successfully, an individual should demonstrate and following skills: + Analytical and problem solving skills + Strong organizational skills + Understanding of the printing/converting process + Mechanical Aptitude + Competent computer skills with preferable SAP and prepress software + Ability to work as part of a team, ability to communicate with different levels inside of an organization + Leadership skills as this is a lead position, ability to think outside of the box when necessary + Assesses own strengths and weaknesses and pursues training and development opportunities, strives to build job skill knowledge and works toward becoming a SME + Able to effectively listen + Willingness to make decisions in timely manner and include leadership when needed + Demonstrates quality mindset and strives for accuracy **Environment / Shift:** + Large box printing facility, packaging for major brand grocery boxed items.
