**Job Title: Plastic Fabrication and Welding Specialist** **Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Plastic Fabrication and Welding Specialist to join our team. This role involves welding complex plastic parts to meet drawing specifications, providing training and leadership to others, and working directly with customers to support manufacturing and prototype opportunities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Weld complex plastic parts according to drawing specifications.
+ Train and mentor colleagues, demonstrating leadership abilities.
+ Field and address customer questions and collaborate with them on prototype manufacturing opportunities.
+ Commit to the mission and collaborate with team members to achieve objectives.
+ Engage effectively in team settings, including cross-departmental collaborations.
+ Balance organizational and customer needs.

+ Read and interpret engineered drawings and bills of materials accurately.
+ Troubleshoot problems as they arise.
**Essential Skills**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 6-8 years experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on fabrication.
+ Proficiency in identifying and welding various plastics including WPP, NPP, PVC, FRPP, and more.
+ Ability to use equipment for Pure bond, Socket fusion, and Butt weld processes.
+ Experience working in a clean room environment for extended periods.
+ Capability to glue, bend, and troubleshoot plastic materials using heat.
+ Experience with manual mills and lathes.
+ Proficiency in using hand and electric tools such as welding guns, hand drills, and table saws.
+ Competency in using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
+ Ability to record job tracking and communicate work-related issues.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Driver’s license required.
+ Ability to work on-site with customers to perform shop functions.
+ Experience in adapting to and working safely in hazardous environments.

**Work Environment**
Work in a plastic manufacturing environment that operates under International Standards Organization (ISO) certification. The facility includes some noise and plastic chips, with safety glasses and hearing protection recommended. Employees are expected to present a professional image, comply with safety practices, and be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. This role may require standing for extended periods.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tigard, OR.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.00/hr.
