POSITION: Plant Manager – U.S. Operations
LOCATION: Winston-Salem / Hickory, NC
International company with plastic packaging and material handling solutions is expanding their footprint in the U.S. and is seeking a dynamic leader to drive operations and revenue growth.
The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company’s U.S. manufacturing facility and managing the commercial (sales) strategy to drive growth.
This role requires strong leadership, operational excellence, commercial acumen, and a deep understanding of plastic manufacturing and supply chain dynamics.
Individual should have experience in manufacturing and selling into some or all of these relevant industries: retail, food and beverage, agriculture, pharmaceutical, chemical, paper / plastics, automated warehouses
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Management
Lead all plant operations, including production, quality, maintenance, inventory, and logistics. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Implement lean manufacturing principles to maximize efficiency and minimize waste. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost control for plant operations. Oversee equipment and facility maintenance to ensure high uptime and reliability.Sales & Commercial Leadership
Develop and execute a sales strategy aligned with corporate objectives. Drive new business development while maintaining and growing existing customer relationships. Partner with marketing and product teams to support customer acquisition and retention. Monitor market trends and customer needs to inform product and pricing strategies.Leadership & Collaboration
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across operations and sales. Collaborate with global leadership and Israel-based teams to ensure alignment. Represent the U.S. operation in executive discussions and planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in plastics or packaging. 5+ years in a leadership role with P&L responsibility. Proven experience leading both operations and sales teams is highly preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and industrial sales. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (MBA a plus). Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
