**Job Title: Plant Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Plant Maintenance Mechanic responsible for the operations and maintenance of industrial compressors, cooling towers, heat exchangers, air coolers, and commercial generators. This role involves ensuring the efficient functioning of air utilities and related equipment, as well as diagnosing and maintaining industrial machinery, electrical equipment, and instrumentation. **Responsibilities** + Maintain and operate 1000hp industrial rotary screw compressors and related machinery. + Perform diagnostics and maintenance on fans, motors, pumps, air handlers, compressors, generators, and cooling towers. + Test mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure correct operating conditions and rectify any issues using test equipment, technical drawings, and data. + Conduct inspections, repairs, and installations of equipment related to electric power systems, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical instrumentation. + Operate and program PLCs for in-house programs and software, including startups and program alterations. + Disassemble, maintain, and rebuild different types of pumps. **Essential Skills** + 5+ years of experience in mechanical, pneumatics, electrical, PLCs, industrial instrumentation, and related fields. + Proficiency in plant maintenance, mechanical maintenance, and industrial maintenance. + Experience with compressor systems, control room operations, and blueprint and schematic interpretation. + Skill in PLC troubleshooting and control, pump assembly, and instrumentation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with industrial compressors and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. + Knowledge of facilities and utilities operations. + Programming skills. + Certification or experience as a Millwright and Stationary Engineer. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy paid holidays while on contract, with the opportunity to gain access to iPark. The facility houses six 1000hp industrial compressors, two cooling towers, and two 480v industrial generators. Control rooms are available, and candidates must be comfortable working in tight or confined spaces. There is also a second facility located inside the iPark. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Midland, Michigan. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.58 - $30.61/hr.
