Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Plant Engineer who will play a pivotal role in guiding our engineering team towards process improvements and feasibility studies. As a Subject Matter Expert, you will oversee equipment and machinery-related matters, ensuring seamless integration and functionality. Responsibilities Include + Provide guidance to the engineering team on process improvements and feasibility studies. + Act as a Subject Matter Expert for all equipment and machinery-related issues. + Procure parts, labor, and equipment, and execute projects with general contractors for installation and integration. + Maintain and improve product engineering documentation and manufacturing Bills of Materials (BOMs). + Develop and optimize manufacturing process routings and methods. + Recommend product and tooling designs for production efficiency. + Design efficient plant layouts and workflows. + Partner with the Maintenance Manager for preventative maintenance schedules and equipment oversight. Skills & Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred) + 5+ years in manufacturing or industrial engineering; plastics industry preferred + Experienced with capital expenditure and oversight of equipment installation and commissioning + Strong knowledge of process optimization, equipment automation, and validation + Experience leading small teams or cross-functional groups Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elyria, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
