Planning Coordinator
Planning Coordinator – Wilton, CT (Hybrid) We are seeking a Planning Coordinator to support engineering project teams by ensuring material availability, driving logistical readiness, and enabling smooth project execution in a high‑tech, low‑volume environment. This role is highly cross‑functional and ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, supply chain, planning, and project coordination. You’ll manage material planning for complex engineering projects, drive escalations when needed, support configuration changes, and collaborate closely with engineering, logistics, suppliers, and project managers. Location: Wilton, Connecticut 06897 Category: Materials Planning / Logistics / Engineering Support Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) Industry: Semiconductor / High‑Tech Education & Experience + BS or MS in Supply Chain, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration. + Minimum 2 years post‑college related work experience. + Background in the semiconductor or high‑tech industry strongly preferred. + Experience in a high‑tech, low‑volume manufacturing environment is a plus. + Project management or supply chain project experience preferred. Key Responsibilities + Project Material Availability Planning + Manage engineering project logistics and secure material availability (move rate, capabilities, supplier support). + Identify all relevant stakeholders and proactively communicate material availability updates, risks, and impacts. + Drive L1 escalations; contribute to L2/L3 escalations as needed. + Define and implement module and sub‑component re‑use strategies within project plans. + Project Execution + Perform operational logistics tasks supporting engineering and factory needs. + Anticipate issues and involve stakeholders early; ensure accountability across teams and Supplier Account Team (SAT). + Support factory readiness from a materials and planning standpoint. + Project Review & Reporting + Communicate key information related to material status, risks, cost impacts, and critical path items. + Analyze and propose solutions to mitigate constraints or boundary conditions. + Involve SAT to execute corrective actions when needed. + Advising & Stakeholder Support + Advise PLM, S&P PL, and senior stakeholders on risks, opportunities, and solution paths. + Present findings and recommendations clearly and persuasively. + Configuration Change Management + Support engineering configuration changes while protecting PLM requirements. + Plan changes logically and proactively; prioritize based on timing, cost, and supply chain impact. + Lead alignment for changes that affect multiple projects. + Risk & Issue Resolution + Translate project and plan updates into actionable tasks for project coordinators. + Conduct impact analyses and present results to stakeholders. + Identify, resolve, and prevent material availability issues caused by project plan changes. + Requirements & Continuous Improvement + Contribute to defining QLTC supply chain requirements for projects. + Defend requirements and explain impacts when they are not met. + Lead cross‑sector improvement initiatives from concept to deployment. + Own specific processes or work instructions within PLM as a key user. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $47.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
