Job Title: Planning Administrator Job Description
The Planning Administrator plays a pivotal role in coordinating production activities by managing materials, schedules, and documentation. This position ensures that the right resources are in place at the right time to complete orders accurately and on schedule. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work closely with both production and support teams to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
+ Monitor material levels and lead times to ensure timely procurement, maintaining optimal stock levels to fulfill orders efficiently.
+ Create stock jobs to align customer requirements with production schedules, ensuring that the right materials are available when needed.
+ Ensure all jobs have the correct and adequate material assigned for timely release, coordinating with the manufacturing schedule to prevent delays.
+ Manage the release of jobs, ensuring that they are released in accordance with the manufacturing schedule and that any conflicts are resolved proactively.
+ Close out jobs in E2 and resolve any uncompleted requirements, maintaining accurate records and ensuring production flow remains uninterrupted.
+ Maintain part drawings and specifications, ensuring that all revisions and updates are accurately reflected in the system and available for production.
+ Cross-check and update part revisions for new jobs, ensuring the most current information is available to prevent errors during production.
+ Update part numbers, redlines, or revision changes identified during manufacturing plans, ensuring that production is aligned with the latest specifications.
+ Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
+ Draft and prepare detailed FAI (First Article Inspection) reports to support quality control and inspection processes.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in production planning and ERP systems
+ Strong administrative support skills
+ Proficiency in supply chain management
+ Familiarity with Microsoft Office
+ Aerospace industry knowledge
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in business or related field
+ 1-2 years of administrative experience
+ Computer/tech savvy
+ Aerospace manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Work Environment
The position is based in an office within a manufacturing plant, offering an opportunity to transition to a permanent role with a well-established family-owned company known for competitive pay.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Commerce, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
