**Description**
JOB SUMMARY:
* The Production Planner will be responsible for planning the production of aerospace components, assemblies, and systems\. The preferred candidate is a highly motivated, results\-oriented team player who performs effectively in both business planning and production environments\.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Generating, monitoring, and expediting production schedules
* Coordinating supply chain, inventory, and production activity
* Vetting MRP\-generated production orders
* Identifying and mitigating production order material shortages/challenges
* Planning production routing, sequencing, and methods
* Executing planned production orders
* Managing production order revisions
* Preparing, evaluating and disseminating metrics, reports, procedures, and documents
* Prepare data reviews and present findings
* Present and lead weekly GEMBA meetings
* Other duties as assigned
**Qualifications**
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or a related field
* Relative production planning or relative experience preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
* Professional interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and balance competing priorities
* Strong analytical, reasoning and organizational skills
* Ability to problem solve in complex and ambiguous situations
* Experience working with MS Office suite
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, parts lists, bill\-of\-materials \(BOM\) and production routings
* Fundamental knowledge of aircraft, systems and parts preferred
