Job Title: PlannerJob Description

We are seeking a skilled Planner with experience in reading engineering blueprints and planning materials according to manufacturing standards. You will maintain accurate information in the MRP system, including item attributes, Bill of Materials, production routings, and customer and production schedules. Your role will involve monitoring MRP, shortage lists, and related indicators to ensure 100% material availability and a high inventory turn rate, guaranteeing on-time customer delivery.

ResponsibilitiesMaintain master schedule and manage entry.Evaluate purchased part material requirements and plan supply.Release internal production work orders.Coordinate cross-functional activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering to ensure smooth material flow.Implement Engineering Change Notices.Replace materials timely due to non-conformance or scrap.Identify and communicate detailed status on material planning items impacting the production schedule.Identify opportunities for improvement within the materials group and lead improvement initiatives.Achieve 100% material availability and increased inventory turnover.Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment, adhering to all company policies and procedures.Maintain and protect the confidentiality of information and products.Essential SkillsExperience in reading engineering blueprints and planning materials.Production planning and scheduling.MRP expertise.Ability to coordinate cross-functional activities.Experience with engineering change orders.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.Combination of related experience and education may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree.3 - 5+ years of direct related experience.Work Environment

The work environment includes working on the manufacturing floor, with engineering, the planning team, and at your desk. You will coordinate with all departments to meet production goals. Work hours are 7 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility if needed.

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Maria, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $36.05/hr.
