Job Title: Planner

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced planner with a strong experience in reading engineering blueprints and planning for materials in accordance with manufacturing standards. The role requires maintaining accurate information in the MRP system, including item attributes, Bill of Material, production routings, and customer and production schedules.

Responsibilities

Monitor MRP, shortage lists, and related indicators to ensure 100% material availability and a high rate of inventory turn to guarantee 100% on-time customer delivery; utilize audit reports and key performance metrics.Maintain master schedule or manage entry.Evaluate purchased part material requirements and plan supply.Release internal production work orders.Coordinate cross-functional activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering to ensure a smooth flow of materials through the production processes.Implement Engineering Change Notices.Replace materials timely due to non-conformance or scrap.Identify and communicate a detailed status on any material planning items impacting the production schedule, such as part shortages.Identify opportunities for improvement within the materials group and lead improvement initiatives to achieve 100% material availability, increased inventory turnover, and standard MRP set-ups.Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.Maintain a safe, secure, and legal work environment by adhering to all company policies and procedures.Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the company's information and products.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent is requiredBachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management is preferredCombination of related experience and education may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree3 - 5+ years of direct related experience

Work Environment

The planner will work on the manufacturing floor, with engineering, with the planning team, and at their desk. Coordination with all departments is necessary to meet production goals. The work schedule is 7-4, Monday to Friday, with potential flexibility if needed.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Santa Maria, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.05 - $36.05/hr.
