Through these efforts, we prepare students as future leaders to live out our credo, “Enter to Learn, Leave to Serve.” POSITION OVERVIEW The Piro Program Assistant Director works with the Director of the Piro Program to prepare first-generation, low-income students for college matriculation. The Assistant Director serves as the School Counselor for Piro Scholars and, in that capacity, is supported by and supervised by the Chairperson of the Counseling and Advising Department in their school counseling duties. The Director and Assistant Director support current and prospective students in the Piro Scholar Program, as well as their families and young alumni, to ensure that students’ academic, social, and personal needs are met, and to coach them as they develop the skills and confidence to navigate higher education. The Piro Program Assistant Director is a full-time, eleven-month, on-campus position. The administration and coordination of year-round programming make up approximately 40% of the position, and school counseling makes up the other 60%. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, ROLES and RESPONSIBILITIES Model Lasallian/Vincentian charisms; Support SHC’s mission, philosophy and Integral Student Outcomes; As Piro Program Coordination and Piro Program Assistant to Director Provide direct academic and personal support for students, primarily served by the Piro Program; Meet regularly with the Director of the Piro Program to plan and implement a comprehensive program, annual calendar, and program policies for the program; Collaborate with internal and external support services to facilitate academic, social, and personal success for students, primarily those in the Piro Program; Design and implement acade

Required Qualifications: Masters in School Counseling, School Counseling (or equivalent); Pupil Personnel Services Credential (or equivalent); Experience working with high school students in an educational setting; Demonstrated relational, organizational, collaboration/communication skills.
