**Job Title:** Piping Materials Engineer (Hybrid) **Location:** Calgary, AB Our client is seeking a Piping Materials Engineer to join their team. As a Piping Materials Engineer, you will be part of the Central Engineering Team supporting various manufacturing facilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail, and a self-motivated work ethic which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Description:** + Process and implement piping material requests, including the development of piping material specifications and commodity descriptions. + Ensure the technical accuracy of changes made to the piping material specifications within the SRD system. + Develop valve specifications and check piping material specifications for code compliance. + Collaborate closely with the Engineering Information Management Team to maintain the integrity of the SRD database. + Provide technical guidance to engineers and other disciplines across various manufacturing sites. **Qualifications:** + A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in engineering. + Professional Engineer status in either Alberta or Ontario. + Experience with the use and development of piping material specifications in Canada and the USA. + Thorough understanding of ASME, API, PIP, MSS-SP, and other standards related to piping material specifications. + Strong communication skills to effectively convey detailed design issues with suppliers and clients. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work on significant projects in a dynamic environment. + Gain valuable experience collaborating with a diverse team of professionals. + Contribute to innovative solutions in the chemical industry. + Engage in a culture that values Responsible Care® and sustainability. + Potential for professional growth and development in your engineering career.
