**Job Title:** Pipeline Engineer IV
**Location:** Calgary or Edmonton, AB
Our client is seeking a Pipeline Engineer IV to join their team. As a Pipeline Engineer IV, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting pipeline design and construction projects. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety and innovation, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Description:**
+ Oversee pipeline design to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
+ Support construction execution, providing technical guidance and assistance during on-site activities.
+ Coordinate with procurement teams to acquire materials and contract engineering services.
+ Assist with regulatory submissions by preparing preliminary layout drawings and technical descriptions.
+ Manage project schedules, cost estimates, and forecasting, reporting progress to supervisors and project managers.
**Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a Professional Engineering designation (P. Eng) from APEGA.
+ Minimum of 6 years of experience in pipeline engineering, including pipeline routing and design, geotechnical and hydro-technical hazard assessment.
+ In-depth knowledge of applicable codes such as CSA Z662, DOT CFR 192 & 195, ASME B31, NACE, and familiarity with materials standards (CSA, ASME, API).
+ Experience with trenchless design, pipeline stress analysis, and software tools for surface loading calculations.
+ Valid Class 5 driver’s license, with a motor vehicle check required prior to hire.
