**Job Title: Pipefitter** **Job Description**
Join our team as an experienced Pipefitter, where you will play a crucial role in the fabrication and installation of piping systems for various industries, including power, oil and gas, and manufacturing. This position requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and precision with significant experience in CPVC and PVC plastic fitting.
**Responsibilities**
+ Assemble, install, and maintain industrial piping systems, including cutting, threading, and joining materials.
+ Fit and install plastic piping systems (CPVC and PVC) according to specifications.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project schematics.
+ Perform inspections and pressure tests to ensure system integrity and compliance.
+ Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
+ Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve piping issues or project obstacles.
+ Assist in supporting and mentoring junior or less experienced pipefitters.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proven experience as a pipefitter in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
+ Experience with CPVC and PVC plastic fitting.
+ Strong knowledge of piping systems, including cutting, threading, and joining.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
+ Familiarity with safety standards and proper use of PPE.
+ Ability to lift, position, and handle heavy materials as needed.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent; trade certifications are a plus.
+ Basic troubleshooting skills for piping alignment, flow issues, and system integrity.
+ Solid understanding of safety practices in manufacturing and industrial settings.
+ Effective communication and teamwork skills when coordinating with supervisors and fabrication staff.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and accuracy.

**Work Environment**
Work in an industrial, custom-engineered fabrication shop environment alongside skilled tradesmen and fabrication teams. The production floor is open and well-ventilated, but not climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. Expect to stand, bend, and handle materials throughout the shift, with the use of PPE required at all times due to active fabrication and assembly work.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Buffalo, NY.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $30.00/hr.
