Job Title: Pipe Welder

Job Description

As a Pipe Welder, you will perform various welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding on different pipe materials including carbon steel and stainless steel. You will interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine appropriate welding techniques and sequences. Your role will involve constructing and repairing pipe systems and components, which includes cutting, threading, and bending pipes. Additionally, you will inspect welds for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications, while maintaining welding equipment and tools in good working order. Adhering to safety protocols and procedures is essential when operating equipment and working with hazardous materials. You will also maintain records of welding activities, inspections, and repairs.

Responsibilities

Essential Skills

Proficient in pipe welding and pipe fitting.Experience with MIG, TIG, and stick welding.6G Welding certifications.Experience with GTAW and SMAW welding techniques.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.Experience in maintaining welding equipment.

Work Environment

The work environment can be hot during the summer, but is generally fair throughout the year. There is no heavy machinery constantly running, providing a comfortable atmosphere to work in.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hebron, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr.
