**Aerotek is hiring for a Pipe Layer!** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Pipe Layer to join our team and contribute to the installation of underground utility systems. This role involves working with various types of piping materials and requires a strong understanding of trench safety and pipe installation techniques. **Responsibilities** + Install underground piping systems including sewer, storm drain, water, and irrigation lines. + Grade trenches and ensure proper pipe alignment and elevation using lasers, levels, and other tools. + Cut, lay, and join various types of pipe such as PVC, HDPE, ductile iron, and concrete. + Assist with trench shoring and ensure compliance with safety protocols. + Operate hand and power tools to prepare pipe bedding and compact backfill. + Work closely with equipment operators to coordinate trenching and pipe placement. + Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety protocols. + Support crew members and supervisors with general labor and site preparation. **Essential Skills** + Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in underground utility or pipe installation. + Familiarity with trench safety, pipe materials, and installation techniques. + Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings and grade stakes. + Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work in trenches, and perform manual labor in varying conditions. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn. + Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset. + Valid driver's license preferred. + Candidates with a strong character and eagerness to grow will be highly considered. **Why Work Here?** Join a family-oriented company with a fantastic culture, where you will work with good people and have the opportunity to grow.
