**Job Title: Pipe Layer** **Job Description** We are looking for a skilled pipefitter to install brand new piping for a new water treatment plant. You will be responsible for reading blueprints, setting specifications, laying out plans for installation, and preparing pipes. Experience in industrial settings or large commercial projects, and with pipes of various materials such as carbon and stainless steel, is essential. Strong mathematical and communication skills are highly valued. **Responsibilities** + Review blueprints to understand requirements. + Set and modify specifications. + Inspect and prepare sites for construction operations. + Measure and cut pipes according to requirements. + Assemble and lubricate pipes. + Install and secure pipes using clamps. + Test functionality of hydronics and other systems. + Repair malfunctions, breakages, or leaks. + Use and maintain tools such as pneumatic drills and saws. + Collaborate with other workers like plumbers and painters to produce finished constructions. + Follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment. + Help rig pipes to move them around the sites and drop them into location correctly. **Essential Skills** + Experience in construction, pipe laying, and blueprint reading. + Knowledge of industrial settings and installation of heavy equipment. + Skills in civil excavation and brazing. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in both residential and industrial settings. + Familiarity with pipes of different materials like carbon and stainless steel. **Why Work Here?** We offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, along with paid time off, holidays, and paid training. It is a prevailing wage job with a schedule of 4/10-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm. Currently, there is no overtime for this project, which is expected to last 3-4 months, with potential extensions if delays occur. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Portland, Oregon. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $80.16 - $80.16/hr.
