We are seeking an experienced Foreman to oversee daily field operations for utility installation, including water, sewer, and storm systems. In this role, you will direct crews, ensure safe and accurate installation, coordinate materials and equipment, and maintain production on schedule. This position requires strong leadership skills, utility construction experience, and the ability to manage field challenges in real-time.
ResponsibilitiesOversee daily field operations for utility installations.Direct and manage pipe crews for water, sewer, and storm systems.Ensure safe and accurate installation of utilities.Coordinate materials and equipment effectively.Maintain production schedules and adapt to field challenges.Read and interpret civil/utility blueprints and site plans.Coordinate with superintendents, inspectors, and subcontractors.Ensure compliance with safety procedures and OSHA regulations.Inspect work quality and enforce project specifications.Essential SkillsStrong leadership and management skills in utility construction.5+ years of experience in underground utility or heavy civil construction.Prior experience as a foreman or lead-man.Ability to read blueprints and interpret site plans.Hands-on expertise in pipe installation, trenching, grading, and backfilling.Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA practices.Equipment proficiency with loaders, excavators, trench boxes, and lasers.Strong communication, crew coordination, and problem-solving skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsValid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Ability to maintain daily reports and track production.Ability to ensure trench safety and comply with OSHA regulations.Experience working with inspectors and municipalities is a plus.Why Work Here?Join a stable and reputable general contractor offering opportunities for career advancement into Superintendent or Project Management roles. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr.
