**Job Title: Pipe Fitter** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter with extensive experience in industrial settings. This role involves working on complex piping systems and requires a strong understanding of various materials and welding techniques. **Responsibilities** + Run piping through active industrial production facilities. + Work with butt weld and socket weld systems, handling steel pipes up to 8” in diameter. + Interpret plan view and elevation view drawings to understand project requirements. + Understand and coordinate installations using Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID). + Generate isometric drawings for fabrication and installation in field settings, ensuring accurate take-offs and cut lengths from field measurements and drawings. + Field route piping as required. + Work with welded, threaded, and Victaulic piping, using both carbon and stainless steel. + Read and understand P&ID and orthogonal drawings. + Disseminate and create isometric drawings. + Work with various materials including Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Fiberglass, PVC, HDPE, and Copper. + Lay out pipelines considering changes in elevation, direction, and flow, including take-outs for elbows and rolling off-sets. + Install in-line instrumentation, valves, and other appurtenances. + Occasional weekend work is required; typically, the workweek consists of four 10-hour days starting at 6:30 AM. + Work will be split between VA and MD locations. **Essential Skills** + 2-5 years of previous experience in pipe fitting, preferably in an industrial environment. + Familiarity with ASME codes and standards. + Knowledge of SMAW, GTAW, and FCAW welding processes. + Ability to work in both clean (food-grade) and dirty (recycling facilities) environments. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with construction, steel, PVC, copper, pipeline, and mechanical systems. **Why Work Here?** We offer travel reimbursement if commuting to a job site exceeds a certain distance, promoting a supportive work-life balance. **Work Environment** The role involves working onsite at heavy industrial projects and new construction sites for manufacturing plants. The work environment includes heavy mechanical construction and exposure to harsh weather conditions. Employees occasionally need to clear snow to access work sites. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, Maryland. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
