Job Title: Picker and Packer

Job Description

As a Picker and Packer, you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations. Your responsibilities include scanning location and pallet license plates using scanner and voice equipment to pick products according to the Warehouse Management System (WMS). You will be involved in picking operations across multiple floors using various equipment, organizing, and replenishing racks, as well as palletizing and wrapping picked items. The position requires flexibility with schedules and involves cleaning tasks before and after work shifts.

Responsibilities

Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedules.Unload goods, materials, or cargo from vehicles onto designated storage areas.Move and bring freight to assigned warehouse locations.Store unloaded pallets to designated locations using scanners connected to WMS.Classify products, including frozen, refrigerated, and dry products.Merge multiple pallets into a pallet with the same products.Transfer same-day shipping pallets to the loading dock.Organize and clear locations by moving pallets as directed.Attach pallet license plates to wrapped pallets before storage.Load prepared pallets onto trucks as instructed.Operate equipment to move and unload pallets.

Essential Skills

Experience with picking, packing, and inventory management.Proficiency with RF scanners.Ability to operate warehouse equipment.Flexibility with work schedules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Steel toe boots are mandatory.Ability to work in cold environments; appropriate clothing for freezers required.Training provided on the first day starting at 7am.

Work Environment

The work environment is in a warehouse setting, including cold fridges and very cold freezers. The role requires wearing steel toe boots and layered clothing. Shifts are from 1pm to 10pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime available. Initial training shifts start at 7am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlstadt, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
