Position Overview:
AtlantiCare Health System is seeking a board‑certified or board‑eligible Pulmonary & Critical Care physician to join our dynamic team. This role provides a balance of inpatient, ICU, and outpatient care across our Mainland and City campuses and outpatient practice in Egg Harbor Township, with excellent APP support and teaching opportunities.
Schedule:
Mix of inpatient, ICU, and outpatient office work Five days at Mainland or City campus, followed by five days in the office/outpatient practice One Friday‑to‑Monday ICU stretch every rotation Night calls from home (no ICU night coverage required) In‑house, 24/7 ICU coverage by AtlantiCare Critical Care Intensivists and APPs, ensuring support and shared responsibility
Responsibilities:
Provide pulmonary and critical care consults in inpatient settings (City/Mainland) Manage MICU patients with in‑house intensivist coverage Participate in outpatient pulmonary practice (Egg Harbor Township) Supervise and collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (one per campus) Engage in resident and student teaching opportunities, with a medical school on the horizon
Workload & Call:
Roughly 50/50 inpatient/outpatient mix Primarily home‑based call, with occasional ED consults Weekend MICU coverage (Saturday & Sunday) and consults at City/Mainland
Qualifications:
Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Pulmonary & Critical Care Strong interpersonal and team collaboration skills Commitment to teaching and mentoring
