The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).

40Position Overview
Works directly with providers to implement provider scheduling to ensure maximum productivity. Coordinates scheduling of resources including exam rooms and equipment to ensure appropriate resources for each provider. Exercises discretion and judgment when scheduling staff to ensure adequate coverage in all areas, which may require cross-coverage of staff between locations.Makes recommendations to enhance growth and volume of practices.Approves all expenditures. Manages office inventory of adequate supplies and equipment. Assures supplies and set up for efficient nighttime services are carried out.Interviews and hires for various locations due to the needs of the location and adhering to salary budget. Appraises performance, rewards and disciplines employees. Addresses complaints and exercises discretion and judgment when resolving problems. Carries out management responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.Completes timely and accurate statistical reports such as monthly referrals, provider hours and vacation, and monthly financial information as required and submits in a timely manner.Attends CH meetings as assigned. Coordinates practice management participation in provider meetings and conducts staff meetings on an ongoing basis with documented minutes.Focuses on patient satisfaction goals to increase volume.Ensures that all performance reviews, in-service education, and employee compliance issues are addressed on a timely basis.Operates in a fiscally responsible manner to achieve operational efficiency and to adhere to established policies, practices and procedures.Ensures physicians and staff are adhering to DNV-GL standards and coding requirements set forth by CH.Interacts with insurance and managed care companies and central billing office to keep current on procedures for billing and referrals. Researches feasibility of accepting new plans and completes applications with input by billing manager.Participates in the budgeting process and makes recommendations for equipment needs. Monitors budget compliance and takes action to avoid variances above budget. Manages office accounts payable activities based on office expenditures.If working in MFM, arranges and facilitates bi-weekly case conference.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSEducation: High school diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree in business preferred.Experience: One year of experience in a healthcare office setting with supervisory duties.Knowledge and Skills: Possesses excellent organizational, interpersonal, conflict resolution, and verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of insurance (ICD-9/10 coding, CMS regulations, state/federal regulations, CLIA, DOH, OSHA regulations) preferred; Solid knowledge of and experience in billing and health insurance guidelines and practices, including commercial, CMS and managed care payers.Special Training: Solid knowledge of and ability to use electronic health records, scheduling, charging and billing systems. Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
