Physician Assistant - Sycuan Health Center

Job Purpose: The Physician Assistant (PA) provides high-quality, culturally respectful primary care services to patients across the lifespan. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the PA supports the clinic’s mission to improve health outcomes for the Sycuan Tribe and our community through accessible, holistic, and coordinated care. Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time) + Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and develop treatment plans + Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions across all age groups + Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging + Prescribe medications and coordinate specialty referrals + Document all patient encounters in the EHR in compliance with clinic protocols + Collaborate with physicians, nurses, behavioral health, and care coordinators + Participate in quality improvement, policy development, and peer review + Provide patient education and preventive care guidance + Support integrated care efforts and warm handoffs + Maintain compliance with Tribal, state, and federal regulations Job Specifications: Education and Experience: Essential: + Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program + Current PA-C certification and unrestricted state license + DEA registration and BLS/ACLS certification + Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred Desirable: + Experience in Tribal health, FQHC, or rural primary care settings Skills and Knowledge: Essential: + Familiarity with EHR systems (e.g., NextGen) and UDS reporting + Strong communication and interpersonal skills + Ability to work independently and collaboratively + Flexibility to adapt to evolving clinic needs and patient volumes + Ability to research and analyze data to make sound judgements + Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism and composure (e.g. HIPAA) + Ability to sit, stand, and perform essential duties of the position + Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting of up to 25 pounds Desirable: + Multilingual Supervisory/Managerial Accountability: Direct: None Indirect: None If you enjoy being part of a community dedicated to creating a memorable guest experience, we invite you to explore career opportunities with Sycuan and join our winning team!
