Job Summary:
The Baker victory Healthcare Center is looking to hire a New York State licensed Physician Assistant. The position will require the Physician Assistant to provide assessment, diagnostic and treatment services for children age birth through 21 with:
Essential Job Duties:
Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and performing physical examinations Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in patients age birth through 21 Order and interpret laboratory work, imaging, etc. Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and therapies Provide patient education on disease prevention, healthy lifestyle choices, and management of chronic conditions Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care Patient call in developmental and behavioral pediatrics is minimal with only a few calls a year. General pediatrics/Complex care call to be determined in one year based on staffing of MDs and mid-level providers. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records Any other duty as assigned by your Supervisor. On-Call rotation requiredComprehensive training will be provided by a physician with expertise in the area of developmental and behavioral pediatrics as well as a clinical child psychologist with expertise in developmental assessment as needed.
Skills:
Minimum Education Required:
Masters Degree from an accredited University in PA studies or higher
Minimum Experience Required:
At least 3 years’ experience working with children and families preferred
License/Registration/ Certifications Required:
