Physical Security PM
Job Description The Physical Security Project Manger will be critical to the success of the Global Fulfillment Asset Protection (GFAP) team and in creating a safe space for our distribution center teams to work and thrive. The Physical Security Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing physical security projects across distribution centers to ensure the protection of people, assets, and operations. This role involves managing installations, upgrades, repairs, and compliance initiatives while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget. Key Responsibilities • Oversee and document the installation of enterprise scale physical security technologies (video, access control, intrusion, RFID, weapons detection, perimeter barriers etc.) within our network of global distribution centers and deliver to the highest standards. • Ensure systems meet organizational standards and regulatory (CTPAT, PIP, SOX) requirements. • Create and maintain a comprehensive project documentation library in Confluence. • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies. • Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to leadership. • Manage and own relationships with security integrators, contractors, and consultants. • Collaborate with internal teams (Tech Infrastructure, Facilities, IT, Operations) to align security solutions with business needs. • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accountability. • Generate reports on project performance, risks, and outcomes for leadership review • Assist in developing and maintaining training programs, policies, procedures, and controls. • Train and mentor stake holders on best practices utilizing electronic security devices and systems. • Assist with physical security assessments, compliance audits, and gap analysis throughout our global network of fulfilment centers. • Identify opportunities for improvements in efficiency and support with the implementation of improvement plans. • Serve as subject matter expert We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in related field, master’s degree preferred • 10+ years of experience in physical security or project management roles • Experience within distribution center or data center physical security project management is preferred • Fundamental knowledge of physical security technologies including video surveillance systems, intrusion, access control • Skilled in leveraging Confluence and Jira for project and workflow management • Ability to work independently and cross functionally with little to no supervision • Sound Decision Maker who is agile, balance multiple priorities and make the best decision to support our teams and the business goals • Expert proficiency in Windows PC applications: SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams • Preferred Industry recognized training and certifications: PMP, CPP, PSP, Six Sigma Personal Traits • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Effective communication and stakeholder management • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment • High level of attention to detail • Openness to feedback and coaching
